Serv-All Die & Tool Company was founded in 1945 in Crystal Lake, Illinois, by Thomas Groden, Bert Brogren, Lee Larson, and Art Schramm. Established during one of the most challenging periods in American manufacturing, the company began in the old Meier Dairy building, where securing equipment and launching operations required exceptional determination, resourcefulness, and vision.

As the post-war economy strengthened, Serv-All steadily expanded its capabilities and reputation. Among its earliest work were precision die-cast dies and Bakelite molds used in radio components for nearby Motorola, one of the company’s first customers. As demand increased, Serv-All made a pivotal investment in its first die casting machine, marking the beginning of its casting operations and setting the foundation for future growth.

In time, Thomas Groden became the sole owner, and Serv-All has remained family-owned and operated ever since. Over the decades, the company has grown from its modest beginnings into a trusted manufacturing partner, expanding into larger facilities while continuing to invest in craftsmanship, capability, and long-term customer relationships.
